Weekend Recap on a Tuesday

Happy April Fools Day! To quote Mark Twain, "The first of April is the day we remember what we are the other 364 days of the year.”

Ha!

So I went to the Warhol museum. It was ok. I watched I Am Legend. With the exception of the german shepherd I thought it sucked. I watched Smoking Aces again. It was better the first time I watched it.

I finished "The Almost Moon" by Alice Sebold. I thought it was a little slow and kind of eh.

Listen to me! Everthing is eh, or ok, or it sucked. Some critic I am! My high school english teacher's ghost haunts me now.."Specific is Terrific!"

I've decided, since I missed my calling as a music talent scout for a major label, to talk about some of my favorite songs and why they are my favorite songs. If there were to every be a movie of my pathetic life, I'm trying to match up the song and the scene.

There is a group not many people have heard of. Lovage. The cd is called Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By. Right there is reason to love it.

Anyway, the vocal chick, Jennifer Charles, has an amazing voice.

One song in particular, "Strangers on a Train" is one of my all time favorites.

In the movie of my life, I would be having a fantasy scene on a train with John Rzeznik from the Goo Goo Dolls. Me. Ow.

I always had a soft spot for guitar guys. Until one broke my heart. But that is another story.

Oh sheesh. Here is the song done to some stupid graffiti montage. Don't watch the video, just listen to the song.
